Bought it on sale at Walmart in November 2015. The price seemed very good, but after nine months or using or trying to use it, I feel that I wasted the money.

I have never had a computer that is this slow. It will not play a video, all it does is show the little circle for several minutes and then will show a few seconds of the video before repeating the process. It freezes up when you try to back out of something and takes at least 45 seconds to react.

When reading an article on line and you try to back out, it will go to "blank page" about 1/3rd of the time and you have to close the site before you can do anything else. It won't scroll down with the mouse (I have tried several different ones) about half of the time.

Product or Service Mentioned: Hewlett Packard Pavilion 17-f113dx Laptop.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

The reasons for your problem(s) could be one or more of many. I would do this for a start: get rid of all the "bloatware" that came with the machine.

Go to "" and download their little, free program which will tell you all the junk HP loaded on your machine. Go thru and uninstall all the junk programs. Then, uninstall whatever anti virus software that came with it, usually either Norton or McAfee. Uninstall it via the control panel remove programs or whatever it is called on your OS.

Do a search for "McAfee/Norton clean uninstall" and download it. This will totally get rid of all remaining junk files from your uninstall of the antivirus software. Then, go to "" and get their FREE antivirus software and use that. It sounds like you have a whole lot of programs starting up and running, using resources that shouldn't be running.

Your machine cannot handle all this stuff running at once. A good way to easily see what is starting up and running is a little, free program called "ccleaner" to be found at "" You have some work to do but once you get rid of all the junk and stop non-essential programs from starting and using resources your machine will run better, etc.

I would ask a friend who is good with computers to help you if you can. Good luck.
